I'm glad to see the book vs. app issue is being addressed at the book fair. To say books are dying out misses the bigger ecosystem of books and other printed content in our lives. Living in New York, I see the demand for both "books and apps" all around me, from commuters on the subway with paperbacks AND e-readers in their purses to the local bookstores which play the important role of a community space to not only look at books, but to hear local authors read and be exposed to new ideas and conversations. Much will be lost if the entire conversation around publishing denies the importance of the physical existence of books in our lives.

Hi Kyle, greetings over the ocean and very much thanks for kindly featuring of my blog. I kept you in my mind as I saw Maurice Sendak in the trailer of upcoming movie about Tomi Ungerer (see my blog). Since maybe 10 years I'm familiar with the work of Ben Hopson and his students.
